FOR THE ADVENTURER THAT LIKES IT

Yosemite Falls/Snow Creek

A Just Roughin' It Yosemite backpacking tour to Yosemite Falls is a great way to spend your Yosemite vacation. This Yosemite hiking tour winds around allowing you to see many amazing views of Yosemite Valley and ends on the Snow Creek trail. We consider this particular guided hike through Yosemite to be like a stairmaster workout, so be prepared. "Roads? Where we're going we don't need...roads." - Dr. Emmett Brown

Yosemite: Yosemite Falls/Snow Creek Backpacking Tour

This Just Roughin' It Yosemite backpacking tour is a great alternative to the ever popular, and crowded, Half Dome 3 day trip.  While also starting from Yosemite Valley, the Yosemite Falls/Snow Creek tour will have you leaving the day hiking crowds behind after a few miles as you ascend on the Upper Yosemite Falls trail.  You will hike up the tallest fall in the park, as well as the lower 48 states, spend the night on top of El Capitan, see Half Dome from across the Valley from the less populated North Dome, and then make your way back to the Valley, finishing the loop via the Snow Creek trail.

The Yosemite Falls/Snow Creek hike is the perfect trip for anyone looking for a challenge (beware; this is the mother of all Stairmaster workouts), and is already visiting the Valley but want to stay away from the Half Dome craziness.  You will still get much of the same views on the Upper Yosemite Falls hike, but, with more time for yourself!

My trip was great! My guide, James was very professional. Excellent physical condition. He was knowledgeable about our trails, terrain and campsites. He put my needs before his own. He made the trip fun...I hope you are grateful to have him as a guide.

The gear was top notch, clean and well maintained. The food was a nice surprise. It was really good! James took his time with all the meals and he was well prepared.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. I also wanted to see Yosemite and with a guide it took all the worries out of being in a new, unfamiliar place. I was expecting to enjoy scenery for 4 days and that was exactly what I received! Your driving staff to and from the park were very pleasant and easy to talk to. Thank-you so much. I'm sure I will be booking another trip with JRI. Great job to all!
