Charter Plane FlightRough it on the trail, not on the ride there. Just Roughin' It offers charter plane flights to select locations with a private pilot. You can view the Southwest's grandeur thousands of feet in the air before you delve miles below.
Custom Dates/Trips
Don't see the dates you want on our calendar? Don't see the destination you want already scheduled? Tell us when and where you would like to go. We can set up a custom backpacking adventure trip with the dates you want for your group of two or more– based on availability.
Do you need to get in shape for your hiking trip? Looking for someone to keep you on task and accountable? We can set you up with a 6-week fitness program. Either go it alone or set up for weekly phone consultations and email communications to keep you focused on your goals.
Hiking / Backpacking Guide Only
If you're an experienced hiker, you may want to take the bare bones route with our guide-only option. Pack your own gear, bring your own food, and we'll just show you the way.
Select adventure tours can be combined with a hotel stay. We all enjoy comfy sheets and a long hot shower after a few days on the trail. Prices and locations vary for each tour.
On-Site Massage
Soothe those achy muscles! We offer must-have massages after select hikes and hotel stays. There's nothing better than treatin' your body right after a "roughin' it" adventure trip.
Let these four-legged hiking experts take the load off as they accompany you down to Havasu Falls or Bright Angel Campground, one of the most majestic areas of the Grand Canyon.
Personal Shopper
Submit vacation time, check. Book flight, check. Buy all of the clothes and personal items you will need on the trip... hmmm... Don't worry, we'll serve as your personal shopper and purchase everything you need. All you need to do is relax... and arrive for your flight on time.
We can pick you up from the airport and drive you to your hotel in Flagstaff the day before the start of your hike. This option allows for more sleeping time and less driving time on the day of your hike. We will pick up all guests at the airport at 3pm.
Private Chef
This is the ultimate option for active foodies. If you think camp food consists of pork and beans or anything with "condensed" in the title then picture a night under the stars with freshly sautéed salmon in lemon butter and sundried tomato coulis. That's just one of the Just Roughin' It private chef offerings. Here is a sample of other dishes we provide (inquire for full menu):
- Power pancakes: oats, flaxseed, almond slivers, hemp and blueberries.
- The Kunochi: rice paper wrapped shrimp, rice noodles, carrots, red cabbage and Napa cabbage served with a plum sauce. Side of coconut chips with a mango and green papaya slaw. Tofu may be substituted for shrimp.
- Vegetarian: mushrooms, smoked red peppers, sundried tomato and chef's special herb infused veggie burger. Served with a thick cut sweet potato fries.
Private Hiking / Backpacking Trip
Want some time alone with your significant other or your friends? For an additional fee, you can make your hiking or backpacking trip private with groups of 4 or fewer. If you have 5 people already, then your trip is private by default.
Vegas Baby
Can't make it to Phoenix? We'll provide roundtrip transportation from Las Vegas on select trips. From Sin City to sittin' in the canyon in just a matter of moments.
Any of our tours can be customized as a girlfriends backpacking or hiking trip with a female guide. This makes for a cool girls' getaway adventure! Four person minimum required per trip.
