Jonesin' for a lake adventure? Kayaking trips in the Tonto National Forest probably conjure up images of pine forest green and a chilly air. But did you know that this area of Arizona encompasses 3 million acres of Saguaro cactus and lakes too?
Join us for a half-day adventure at Canyon Lake. Or, read about our full day trip at Bartlett Lake combining kayaking with hiking.

Canyon Lake Kayaking Trip
In just under an hour's drive from Phoenix, Canyon Lake features 28 miles of shoreline dotted with red rocks, cactus, and serene coves where you might spot deer, sheep, and javelina roaming freely. Your kayak gives you a front row view of the spectacular wildlife here!
We'll meet at Canyon Lake and embark on 3 hours of scenic enjoyment. Departure times vary by season:
- Fall trips run mid-September to mid-November and depart at 9am and 1pm.
- Winter trip schedule starts in December and runs through mid-March, when we'll begin each tour at 1pm.
- Spring trips run mid-March to mid-May and depart at 9am and 1pm.
- Summer trips run mid-May to mid-September and depart at 7am only.

$80/person with a 2-person minimum

Half Day: Guide, kayak, helmet, personal flotation device, water, sports drinks and snacks
Bartlett Lake Kayaking Trip
Just 45 minutes north of Phoenix, Bartlett Lake resides in the heart of the Tonto National Forest. Its mesmerizing surroundings create a memorable location for your kayaking adventure, providing over 2,800 acres of paddling area making it the second largest lake in the Phoenix Metro area. Fewer visitors to this lake makes for solitude and more opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the desert. Come join us for a kayaking trip on Bartlett Lake!
We'll meet at Bartlett Lake and embark on 6 hours of scenic enjoyment. Departure times vary by season:
- Fall trips run mid-September to mid-November and depart at 9am.
- Winter trip schedule starts in December and runs through mid-March, when we'll begin each tour at 10am.
- Spring trips run mid-March to mid-May and depart at 9am.
Trip Cost/Person
$150/person and includes lunch with a 2 person minimum

Full Day: Guide, kayak, helmet, personal flotation device, water, sports drinks, snacks, day pack and lunch
We offer transportation from your hotel on a request basis only for $180/person with a 2 person minimum.
