Grandview Trail/Horseshoe Mesa Backpacking Trip
This steep, 3 mile trail is not for the faint of heart, but it is well worth the effort. Miners flocked to Horseshoe Mesa in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and today you will still see evidence of the old copper mining days.
The backpacking portion of this trip is fairly short, but there are many opportunities to visit ruins left by the Anasazi Indians, explore the only cave open to tourists and hike to the end of the mesa for some amazing views of the inner canyon and the Colorado River.
